Ages ago, after the Crucible, when the idea of Dalordan was in its infancy, the dragon Ubilaz laid waste to the lands. Ubilaz ruled over a dominion of fear and ash. For miles in all directions, the great wyrm consumed all and collected a horde of unimaginable size.
 
Eventually, a clan of dwarves from the Vast Mountains settled a mine nearby. They lured Ubilaz into a trap and imprisoned the dragon with a magical gem known as the Galdorgim. After centuries, the story of Ubilaz faded into legend. None now live who remember the tale, or the purpose of the Galdorgim. The dwarves who trapped the dragon moved on centuries ago to the Slumbering Peaks.
 
Now, the magic of the Galdorgim wanes and the will of Ubilaz moves to be free. A tribe of lizardfolk have followed visions of their shamans and wandered far from their territory in the Gray Marshes. They have uncovered the old mine and search for the magical stone.
 
The Heart of the Mountain is an itroduction adventure modules for Emlearal, Lands of Adventure. Taking heroes from 1st to 6th level, the Heart of the Mountain is the perfect set-up for dungeon masters to begin a long campaign, establishing the heroes with a home town of Torrosada in western Tolvara.
